Tapmatic Corporation introduces its new TAPMATIC MARKING HEAD, with an in-carousel design and compact size, Tapmatic’s marking head can mark a part while it is still set up in the machine, eliminating secondary operations, additional equipment and labor.

Designed to work in conjunction with CNC machining and turning centers, as well as manual turning, milling or drilling machines, the marking head is loaded into the machine’s spindle or toolholding system and aligned and positioned on the workpiece. It is then advanced onto the workpiece at 0.5" travel. This travel charges and launches the internal inertia system, which triggers the movement of the marking head.

The tool marks as many as 15 characters, a maximum of 0.25" in height, in less than 1 sec. with precise marking location repeatability.
